Frac Sand Logistics in West and South Texas
Explore Group has been running frac sand last mile logistics since 2017, serving operators across the Permian, Eagle Ford, MidCon, and Haynesville basins. We move proppant from origin into the blender — hopper bottom or container — with equipment, personnel, rig mats, mobilization, and full PO and allocation management built into the price.
Because we own our Delaware Basin mine, we can supply the sand itself, not just haul it. That means better supply control, fewer handoffs, and a single point of accountability from mine to blender.

How many trucks does Explore Group run?
Why Operators Choose Us for Sand
With 100+ owned trucks, 250+ owned chassis and belly dumps, and 50+ carrier partners, we can stand up a second crew as fast as you can sign the PO. Our planners, dispatch, and drivers exist for one reason: keep your wells fed and your program moving.
We deliver a performance package after every pad. Quarterly reviews on your schedule. Every load out of our mine is tested before it leaves the yard.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Explore prevent NPT on a frac job?
If the pad needs 75 trucks a shift, 75 trucks show up on time. We run our own trucks first and add vetted carrier capacity behind them: 50+ carriers representing 2,000+ drivers. Our planners watch every stage around the clock.
How many trucks does Explore Group run?
Explore runs 100+ company-owned trucks and 250+ owned chassis and belly dumps, with 70+ wellsite personnel and 12+ logistics planners working 24/7. Behind that, 50+ onboarded carriers add 2,000+ drivers.
Can I buy just trucking, or a full sand program?
Your call. Take trucking only. Add our personnel on location. Or hand us the whole program: sand, trucking, wellsite equipment and the people to run it. Turnkey pricing includes equipment, personnel, rig mats and mobilization, plus PO and allocation management.
What frac sand delivery systems does Explore support?
Silo systems: hopper bottom top fill into Solaris, Maxxim and similar silos. Container systems: PropX Gen 1 box delivery into the blender. Scorpion wet sand delivery: wet sand handled without the drying and storage step. Wet sand pile delivery: on-site stockpile build and reclaim, fed to the blender by loader. Onsite coordination: our coordinators on the pad, not a phone number in Houston.
What reporting does Explore provide after a job?
Every pad gets a performance package. Every quarter, or whenever you want one, you get a full review with your team. We also send logistics market updates so you can plan around what's coming. The goal is simple: you run out of questions before we run out of data.
Which basins does Explore Group serve?
We've run last-mile sand since 2017 across the Permian, Eagle Ford, MidCon and Haynesville basins. Today our crews run from the Midland terminal and the Kenedy terminal in the Eagle Ford, which has a shop, office and a 20-plus bed man camp.
